Big Ben = Big Idiot

Before the start of tonight's SuperBowl Ben Roethlisberger was my least favorite player in the NFL and maybe in all of sports.  Never before has there been a player who has gotten so much praise for doing so very little.  In SuperBowl XL in 2005 Antwon Randel El, a receiver on the Steelers, had a better passer rating than he did in the game.  "Big Ben" is a big waste of space as his stats are never very good, he isn't very athletic, and he isn't very smart (doesn't wear a helmet when he rides a motorcycle).

All of this aside I was starting to hate him a bit less as the game went on because he was actually playing well and making good and smart throws.  This all came crashing down however when during the trophy presentation Big Ben pulled a KG and forever cemented his place as biggest D bag in all of sports.

What did he do you ask?  With the mic shoved in front of his face and millions upon millions of people watching at home he said, "anything is possible."

Seriously Ben?  Anything is possible?  You have already won a god damn SuperBowl and you're saying anything is possible when you win your second?  Your team was the favorite going in.  You had been there before and knew how to deal with the pressure of the big game.  You have the #1 ranked defense in the entire league.  You win the game and say "anything is possible."

To make this all even worse was the fact that you copied KG who made this jerk statement when he and the All Star laden Celtics won the NBA championship last year.  What's with athletes on great teams claiming "anything is possible" when they win titles?  I mean if the Oklahoma City Thunder won the NBA championship because every other team in the league got the plague and died then that might, and i stress might, merit an anything is possible.

Big Ben and KG have really put themselves out there as giant douches for the world to see.  Why don't you take lessons from the greats who have won before you and simply thank the teammates, thank god, and thank the coaches.  Simple, classy, and effective.

That is why Big Ben = Big Idiot
