New Poll

So the UFC nickname has been decided.  It was never really a close race as Dancing Bear took an early lead and never looked back.  Diesel made a late charge but it just wasn't enough.  Personally I am ok with the decision as a more suitable nickname there is not.  So James "Dancing Bear" Choleras will be taking over the Heavyweight Division as soon as I become less afraid of getting punched in the face by guys like Brock Lesnar.

As for the new poll it stems from a commercial on TV with Jermey Roenick.  It is an ad for the 2009 NHL playoffs where Roenick claims that the Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to win.  I personally feel that the SuperBowl is much more difficult but none the less a vote has to be done.

Here are the options:

Stanley Cup

- 82 game season
- 30 teams
- A minimum of 16 playoff games

Superbowl

- 16 game season
- 32 teams
- minimum of 3 playoff games (depending on seeding)

NBA Championship

- 82 game season
- 30 teams
- minimum 16 playoff games

World Series

- 162 game season
- 30 teams
- minimum 11 playoff games

Obviously there are more trophies than this but I am going to stick to the Big 4 in North America.

I am going to argue that the world series is the hardest trophy to win, based on how many games every team has to play in a season and based on how few teams make the playoffs. Teams are forced to prove themselves over 162 games, while only 8 of 30 teams actually make the playoffs. If you don't win your division, you have to compete with every other good team in the league to get a playoff spot.

I definately would not argue that the superbowl is the hardest. These guys play what..16 games in the regular season, then only have to win 5 or 6 games in the playoffs? The single game elimination is difficult, ill give you that, but I would definately not suggest the superbowl is the hardest to win.
